The capital of Denmark, beautiful Copenhagen is known for its cottage Dutch style houses, cobblestone streets, and hygge (the Danish word for enjoying simple life pleasures). Located on the coastal islands of Amager and Zealand and just accross the Öresund bridge from Malmo in Sweden, Copenhagen is the cool kid in the Nordic neighborhood. To get around, take the fantastic public transportation or as the locals do and jump on your bicycle.
Copenhagen is often ranked as the happiest city on earth. Could it be the Danish laid-back mentality, the biking along the pretty canals, or eco-friendly infrastructure? We aren’t sure, but for foodies, it could easily be the food scene. One of the most Michelin starred cities in the world, you will find both innovative new flavors and traditional locavore Nordic cuisine: imagine copious piles of smoked salmon, open-faced sandwiches, and dark rye breads and beers.
There is so much to do and see in Copenhagen. From unique events (Santa Clause Congress, Champagne Saboring Competitions, etc.) and music festivals (Roskilde Festival, Copenhell, and Copenhagen Jazz Festival) to leisurely afternoons spent exploring the city, sitting in a park or cafe with a good book, or meeting a friend at a local pub.
Copenhagen’s storybook charm meets hipster cool in Vesterbro. Here you will find some of the city’s trendiest restaurants, bars, shops, and art studios. Vesterbro formerly housed the Red Light District and was also the center for livestock trading so it wasn’t always the trendy place that it is now. Reminiscent of its past, some of the old signs still hang outside the restaurants in Kødbyen, the meatpacking district, but it is now home to young professionals and is a hotspot for innovation. It’s no wonder companies like Ikea have opened innovation labs in the neighborhood to “explore wild ideas.” Vesterbro has a special charm, both old and new, edgy and refined, there is something for everyone here.
Our coworking space reflects the creative, lively, and social environment of Copenhagen. Equipped with a laser cutter and prototype workshop, you can transform your ideas into action here. A haven for passionate and creative people and a jam-packed events calendar, this is a place where you will be inspired.
